1398 Scenic Railroad. The Conway Scenic Railroad is based just a bit south of us and is hugely popular with tourists as well as locals. This view by photographer�Johnathan Lee Mortenson�shows the �Notch Train� at its destination about 35 miles away, Crawford Depot. After leaving the iconic North Conway station, the train wends its way up through gorgeous scenery, shown here in fall foliage. There�s an exciting crossing over 80� high Frankenstein Trestle � spanning 500� from cliff to cliff - and then on to Crawford�s. At an elevation of approximately 1900 feet, the notch itself and the pioneering Crawford family have a fascinating history. 1,000 piece puzzle with a finished size of 24� x 30�.
